The clock is ticking and the moment we have all been waiting for will be upon us tomorrow just after noon EST time. March Madness will kick off and the race to the NCAA Men's Basketball Championship will be on. There are only two bracket spots left to be decided with the remaining two "first four" games taking place tonight. North Dakota State and North Carolina Central will fight it out for the unenviable opportunity to take on #1 seed Duke in the first round while Arizona State and St. John's will battle to be a number 11 seed in the big tourney. Those games will take place tonight and the winner will have to make a quick turn around and play their tournament game tomorrow. I can only imagine how stressful and exciting that must be for these players.
Last night saw Belmont punch their ticket as a number 11 seed by knocking off Temple 81-70. The second highest scoring offence in the country was on full display as the Bruins high paced motion offence was clicking on all cylinders. They will go on to play #6 seed Maryland in what many experts feel could be an upset game. In the other game, Fairleigh Dickinson earned the number 16 seed by beating Prairie View A&M and will now head to Salt Lake City to take on # 1 seed Gonzaga.
