In a conversation, I had with @bamamama about this last weekend in college ball we had talked about the scores and upsets. She mentioned the fact Auburn lost so it made the day even sweeter for her. Then a certain German word popped into my head.

                                 Schadenfreude.

German for "happiness at the misfortune of others"

This shirt was made for Alabama fans who rooted for the Oregon Ducks against their arch-rival the Auburn Tigers in the National Championship game back in 2010. The shirt can still be bought for 15 dollars online. I remember seeing this shirt on Sportscenter leading up to the game.

As a Gator fan my dad always preached to me that we root for SEC teams in the postseason especially if they play for the Natty. If they look good. We look good and the best players will want to come  play for our conference and subsequently play for us. So for me to see the Bama fanbase cheering for a team from the PAC-10 (before they added Colorado & Utah to become the PAC-12) over a SEC squad it just struck me as odd. I knew they didn't like each other but even I root for the Vols in their bowl game. My dad said something that really shook me to the core.

"Image if the Seminoles were in the SEC."

I. Hate. FSU.

With a burning passion that would melt their stupid spear into a crappy stick for making smores. (Although that Appaloosa paint they have is a beautiful horse.)

As much passion and love I have for my alma matter I have the same amount of good ol' southern hate for the Noles and their hairy legged women school.

Long story short. FSU used to be an all girls school so when they added men to their school it became the "hairy legged women school" to Gator fans everywhere.

The University of Florida is better at every facet. Education, sports, tradtion you name it. Although girls from Florida State University are freaking hot. I think it is a matter of they are off limits so they become more attractive. Give me a Gator girl I can take home to mom anyday.

ANYWAYS. I have had so much fun with Nole fans before their first game even kicked off. They were confident with Willie Taggert being their new head coach. And I let them know he did ok in three seasons at USF but he didn't really develop talent to compete at the best levels. Just sort of coasted on what he had in a weak football conference. He inherited a great squad at Oregon and went a game above .500. Now he is in charge of FSU with no real proof he can develop talent?

The fear in their eyes made it feel like I was hugging a kitten. Made me feel all warm and fuzzy inside. It felt good.

And the Noles have scored 10 points combined against ACC juggernauts (LOL):

 Virginia Tech and Syracuse.

They got their citrus kicked by some fruit!

And almost lost to Samford. SAMFORD.

Unless FSU wakes up and plays with the talent they have I will be watching their games on Saturdays with a bowl of popcorn watching them get stomped by the likes of Louisville, Wake Forest and MY GATORS this November.

Mildly insensitive picture of one of the earliest matchups.

We have a great and treasured history. We won our first national championship over them in '97.

They are apart of our "big three" of our rivals. Tennesee, Georgia and FSU.

We have never won a national championship without beating all three in that year. Including the 1996 season where we lost to them at home and later beat them in the Sugar Bowl.

As much as I love watching us succeed, them having a bad year feels so dang good.

P.S

I forgot to add.

Don't get me started on how much I hate the football program after what they did to Bobby Bowden. And that "coach in waiting" BS.

Is there any teams you love watching to see lose?
