QB and TE Streams Week 9 (Yahoo)
QB 1 - Derek Carr @ San Francisco (32% owned) His ownership has risen 6% since playing Indy last week so there is a decent shot he won't be available. But if he is there have no fear in Carr vs a very weak 49ers defense that may also be without CJ Bethard. The only downside I can see is this game could be fairly low scoring. I'd still expect Carr to have an excellent floor in this game since he's been completing a high percentage of passes. QB 2 - Case Keenum vs Houston (22% owned) Keenum wasn't a disaster last week but I think even with his lack of success people should have expected more given how bad the Chiefs pass defense has been. This isn't the greatest matchup and not the highest recommended play but Keenum should continue to have decent volume with the Texans sporting a pretty stout run Defense. With that said they have been putting tons of pressure on opposing QBs, leading the league in sacks. So added pressure may lead to some turnovers. I'd play Keenum over guys like Brock Oswiler and Sam Darnold this week if you are desperate. TE 1 - Ed Dickson vs LA Chargers (13% owned) Dickson came back from IR last week and made an impact in his first game back getting 52 yards and a TD. He's shown in the past he's capable of ripping off some big plays, and while he's never had a full time gig of his own Dickson has been able to hang around the league with his good blocking ability and ability to make plays when called on. If there is one thing to possibly worry about is the general lack of pass attempts in the Seattle offense this year. Wilson has managed to stay super efficient this year scoring TDs at a rate of over 7%. There's no guarantee how long that can hold up, but if you are needy then Dickson may be a decent option especially with all the byes this week TE 2 - Mark Andrews vs Pittsburgh (2% owned) Ravens tight ends are a lot like what New England running backs were prior to this season minus the huge production numbers. The Ravens use a steady blend of Mark Andrews, Nick Boyle, and Hayden Hurst. Andrews seems to be getting the most consistent targets with 4 per game on the season and averaging around 5 points per game over the last 3 games. Flacco does have a history of throwing to tight ends a lot and the matchup is pretty good with the Steelers ranking 4th worst against tight ends. Any one of the Ravens tight ends could produce but with recent history Andrews would be my pick. I got this out a day later than I wanted and as expected Fitzmagics ownership went up. Hope you grabbed him 😀 Thanks for reading

QB - 1 Eli Manning @ Atlanta (22% owned) Lets face it. If you are someone who usually streams the QB position or you've been backed into a corner, it sucks having to think about throwing Eli out this week. If manning is going to get his shit together its got to be against a terrible falcons defense. The Falcons have one of the league's worst pass defenses and ranks 2nd worst vs QBs. Eli should finally be able to conjure up a good game against a D allowing 34 points per game. QB 2 - Brock Oswiler vs Detroit (2% ownership) This makes me want to puke in my mouth too 🤢. I would probably go ahead and recommend case keenum here vs the cards but a Thursday release has me fading him. Please don't use a first waiver claim here either. Really no QB besides an upper tier one should be anyway. This is another pick centered around bad D play. With that said. Brock should only be your escape hatch QB this week. TE 1 - Geoff Swaim @ Washington (10% owned) Washington's defense has been pretty decent this year outside of a spanking from New Orleans. But their weakest area comes against tight ends. They currently rank 18th best vs the position. That's not nearly the worst, but with Dallas void of any real deep threat and Swaim receiving around 4 looks and 40 yards per game since week 3, Swaim could at least offer some floor. As crappy as the position can be that's all you can really ask for. TE 2 - Charles Clay @ Indianapolis. (14% owned) This could be another decent floor play. Sure the Bills have been terrible, and yes Charles hasn't produced like last season. But this week we have a brand new starter just joining the team in long time vet Derek Anderson. He's got rapport with the coaching staff but not likely too many players other than Kelvin Benjamin. I'd expect plenty of dump offs and short passing in this one and by the grace of God Charles Clay has been blessed with a matchup vs the colts 8th worst defense to the position. This game could be the perfect recipe for Clay to have an uptick in volume this week. Thanks for reading.
