7th June Washington Capitals became Stanley Cup champions for the first time since they entered the NHL in 1974. They defeated the Vegas Golden Knights in Game 5 of the Final. Since that day Washington capitan Alex Ovechkin has been together with the trophy day and night.

On Saturday, Ovechkin brought the Stanley Cup to the MLB Washington Nationals home game and made the ceremonial first pitch:

On Monday, Ovi and Braden Holtby visited "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon" in New York:
