In this short tutorial, I will show you the easiest way that I know of depositing some SCR into your Scorum wallet.
There are two prerequisites:
- BitShares / OpenLedger account with something on it
- Scorum account
You should already have the second one when you are interested in reading this. You can get the first one easily by opening an account on OpenLedger.
Getting SCR
Since I've already had a small amount of BTS lying on my OpenLedger account I decided to sell the for SCR. I went with a market price since I didn't want to make a waiting game out of a simple sell and buy.
I've got 19 something SCR from 58 BTS.
Next step was to transfer these newly acquired SCR to my Scorum wallet.

You can see that I used my Scorum account name as a destination address and put in some unimportant memo.
You have to be careful with the fees and calculate the amount to transfer by deducting the fees from it.
Unfortunately, the system at OpenLedger doesn't do this for you.
You have to confirm the transaction to make it effective.
OpenLedger interface told me that the transaction was carried through.
Checking my Scorum Wallet
Then I jumped to Scorum and opened my wallet.
The transferred amount minus the fee arrived at the wallet.
I congratulated myself on the first successful deposit.
This is a great way to start this experience :)
Let's move to our final step ...
Converting SCR to SP
Since my main goal with this procedure was to augment my voting power I immediately proceeded and converted newly deposited SCR into SP.
There is one to one ratio at the moment.
It will be interesting to see whether this will change in the future.

My wallet has good 23 SP in it. 5 as a registration bonus and good 18 with this deposit and conversion.
