In November 2018, in the city of Poznan, he took part in a local start called "Bieg Niepodległości" and which was dedicated to the Independence Day of Poland. In addition to Poznan, similar races on Poland's Independence Day are held in many cities of the country (Poznan, Warsaw, Krakow, Gdynia, and other cities) and on the running tracks gather from several hundred to a couple of thousand participants. Since then, this format of races I liked for the first time because of the good impressions and the cool atmosphere that prevailed during the race. So I decided to find out if there is a similar format of races in Ukraine.

It turned out that in the territory of Ukraine, two races are also held in a similar format ("Race in embroidered shirts" and race "I respect soldiers, I run for the heroes of Ukraine"). The peculiarity of these two races is that they are timed to two events that have played a significant role in the recent history of Ukraine. But they have one key difference. "Race in embroidered shirts" is held in honor of the celebration of the main date for every Ukrainian, namely the Independence Day of Ukraine. As for the race "I respect soldiers, I run for the heroes of Ukraine", it is held in memory of soldiers who died defending the sovereignty of Ukraine during the Russian-Ukrainian war (2014 - present).
