If you have been very active and observant on scorum community you will discover there have been a slight decrease in earning SCR on posts made on this platform in recent days. I stand to be corrected or rather confirm this observation. I’m a graduate student in science and we were thought to pay attention to observations.
That idea has made me to be curious in the last 12 hours as a have spent a buck of my MB to confirm my observation. When it comes to research, I find good pleasure doing them no matter the conclusion and that is why am doing that here.
Sampling (methodology)
The last 12 hours has been tasking for me to carry out this assignment. I took out time to glance through posts made on different sport groups as well as some whales, big guys and newbies in a random sampling of 5 posts each in every 12hours for 48hours(2 days) i.e I have 5 columns of 12 hours post. I compare the earning of the recent post of the random simply to the previous post as well in the last 1 week. I decided to choose a week to get a large sample of previous earning.
I divided the previous post earning by 5(20%) i.e if you had 15scr, 40scr or 80 scr in the previous post, the 5% are 3scr, 8scr and 16scr. Then I compared the % earning to the recent post (divided it post by 5(20%)) as well. Then, I obtained the % difference.
I would have mentioned some names as case study but I wouldn’t want to be sued for infringements personal rights or my post being flagged down. This research is a personal observation I believe it is accepted in good fate, a contribution to scorum post thread rather than being seen as envy or background investigation of peoples earning.
Results
My observation was in no doubt as my final results from the samples showed a 16% decrease in Whales post, 23% in big guys and shocking 46% decline in newbies posts.
My Opinion
From the result, I can say there has been a decrease in the number login in recent days which might have sparked the decrease in earning as the number of login increases, the number of upvoting increases.
Self upvoting, I am not certain but i think there have been an increase number of people who are now concentrating of upvoting their post as well as comment on their post to increase their audience than we had previously.
Can we say that scorum management is gradually reducing the scr given in curation as the community is growing? I don’t this should be the case here. There reason for this, is a kind of null hypothesis to counter my previous claim. If everybody has been upvoting post as usual, where is the problem from? That’s why am accusing the scorum management and remember this just a hypothesis as can be very wrong.
