The decision is made!
It's Monday again and we are all facing the beginning of another exciting week. For me now it is the right time to announce the winner of my weekly Scorum Patronage nomination round.
But before I start let me say "thank you" to everyone who joined this round and to everyone who is supporting my humble little initiative. I am glad to get so much encouraging feedback, I am still motivated as it was the very first day.
This week too, I was planning on assisting one writer for a whole seven days and visit his or her blog to read and upvote one post daily. I am planning on using 50 to 100% of my voting power, according to length and quality of each article. However, I reserve myself the right to lower my vote if I feel a post is not making it up to the quality standards we would like to see here at Scorum. Recently I often felt the need to upvote with less VP than initially planned.
What is Scorum Patronage?
The plan behind Scorum Patronage is to support and upvote writers to help them to get their posts noticed by the Scorum community. We all have experienced how tough blogging can be, therefor it is essential to stay motivated. That's why I will visit, read and comment all posts of the "choice of the community" for the next seven days. And after that week, I'm also going to write an article where I will introduce that certain writer, what hopefully helps to shed some more light on their work

Let's get back to the nominations. Every week I keep asking you the following question:
Which user here at Scorum deserves a little attention and should be supported by me for a week?
This week we had exactly two nominations, and after cruising through those nominees' profiles, I am up to giving both of them a chance. Recently I have started to look more carefully at the previous articles of all those writers nominated, since we have gotten a couple of nominations for people who have been caught trying to sneak in some post rewards through means, every honest sportsmen will loudly label as cheating.
And Scorum Patronage also assisted a few writers whose post didn't meet the quality level we would like to see on Scorum, and here I am not talking about writing professional essays about the world of sports.
I am not going into any details right now, but I decided to give both nominations a chance to earn themselves a 50% upvote each every day.
Congrats to @usman2 and @shivamg, this week I will visit your profiles and read your articles on a daily basis. As I just mentioned I am ready to vote one article each with 50%, as long as I feel your post deserves my support.
But as mentioned at the beginning, I want to encourage everyone to stick to a certain level of quality so I will reserve myself the right to upvote with less VP than actually planned, or even to refuse voting when I feel a writer isn't trying to meet the quality standards, which most people here on Scorum feel we need to hold up.
@usman2 has been nominated by @easyboi and @shivamg by @talesfrmthecrypt, who will both now get a 50% upvote on their nomination comment. Thanks a lot for joining this round and keeping Scorum Patronage alive.
I will start upvoting from today and also leave some comments telling them that theywill be assisted by Scorum Patronage this coming week. Hopefully both will be able to find some new readers for their posts and feel motivated to provide us with some more quality posts.
Some final words...
On Saturday I was finally able to write some sports blog again, it had been 2 months since the last one before. Recently I have been really busy so I am really glad I could find the time to honor one of the greatest basketball players ever who has just announced his retirement and who has left the court with standing ovations.
If you don't know who I am talking about have a look at my latest post to get an idea who Dirk Nowitzki is. And if you know him already, just stop by anyways.
However, right now you might just feel like leaning back and enjoining the beautiful game of a living legend. So here comes a little video just for your amusement!
And a s always I am open to your comments and suggestions. Just drop me a line or visit me in the Scorum Patronage channels which I am running on the "I am Scorum" Discord server. Stop by and and say "Hi" even if you just want to chat.
You can also find the latest announcements and the profiles of all the former beneficiaries. Feel free to join building a place were people share ideas about how to support other community member's grow and how to make the Scorum platform a huge success.
Catch all you guys soon...
