Hello Scorum, what's up?

I hope everyone is alright and is not getting to frustrated when looking at the recent cryptocurrency market. The weekend saw another 10% drop and I truly doubt that we will see something like a year-end really. After getting out of hibernation in spring I was quite positive for the rest of the year but for most coins it was more like a quick flash in the pan, only Bitcoin managed to steer up some excitement when it more than tripled its price, compared to this year's low. But from that height it fell again, steadily to land below 7000$ Dollars again, a mark it could at least could climb over again until this morning. But that's not what I had hoped for during the entire year.

Sure I was far away from predicting any price but after the last year was rather disappointing I was definitely more hopeful for 2019, just to feel pretty disappointed again. I don't even talk about Scorum coin, one of the worst performing coins this year. I guess everything has been said and now it is left to the developing team to decide, whether they want to really let Scorum coin die or not. But most of the market, especially all of my investment, was still going sideways if not taking another plunge, to shatter the the rest of my hopes and dreams. Maybe time for cryptocurrency adoption is no here yet, and we might have to might for some more years. Who knows, we might never really see it or it will be completely different from we expect, when the big players take over the game and set up their own rules (and coins).

I would like to stay positive and keep some hope for the future. Scorum isn't really the place where people talk crypto except when it is about the Scorum coin, but I guess it wouldn't hurt if we get some more people writing about the general cryptocurrency situation here on Scorum as well.

As for my part, I still want to help tp encourage people taking on and keepin up writing their blogs here on this platform, that's why I am here with my Scorum Patronage initiative to support writers who have just taken on the challenge of providing us with some news from the exciting world of sports. But I need you too to have a look and think which Scorum user could use some more support. Then nominate this user in the comment section of this post and leave the rest to me. On Sunday I will check through all nominations and chose the candidate who got nominate the most as our next beneficiary.

My job won't be finish yet, since from there I will accompany the chosen user for a total of seven days to read their articles and to support them with my upvotes. Which will hopefully help to bring some more attention to their profiles and to encourage them to continue writing quality sport blogs.

But I will not only visit the winner's blog, but in addition give out some big votes for the person who nominates this round's winner first. Plus I will also leave some upvotes on every genuine nomination or comments. Let's see if this will eventually bring some more people onto joining the nominations.

Nominations for WEEK 48

This gonna be the forty eights round of Scorum Patronage in 2019. I usualy ask you a very simple a question:

Which user here at Scorum deserves a little attention and should be supported by me for a whole week?

Please nominate me some Scorum users who need some support or some initial boost. I am thinking about all those new members of our growing and creative community but also about everyone else who is having a hard time finding its place here on Scorum.

It is not so important how many Scorum Coins or Scorum Power somebody has in its wallet, I would rather like to focus on everybody's post reward. Let's try to find those users who don't usually get payed out big, but still try to provide some interesting and creative content. I will not set any limit anymore, but rather decide case by case and have a look on the candidates whole history.

As I said on Sunday I will choose the nominee who gets the most nominations and declare him or her to our winner of the week. If there is no leader in the nominations, I will choose the candidate who has less SP in its wallet.

I will then visit the blog of our chosen one on a daily basis to read and upvote one post a day for a whole week. Depending on quality and content I might use up to 100% of my voting power, however I strictly reserve myself the right to upvote with less or even to refuse a vote, when I feel an article doesn't live up to the quality level I would like to see here on Scorum.

Hopefully my assistance will help to bring our beneficiary into the spotlight and get his or her posts exposes to a bigger readership.

A few more things...

  • Important is that you our candidates write in a language I understand, therefor I will consider articles written in English or German. Sorry, other languages can't be accepted.
  • And of course you can nominate the same candidate as someone before. As more nominations somebody get as more likely is the chance this user will be on top at the end.
  • The idea behind this initiative is to help writers who are not usually standing out in the spotlight and who don't get so much attention. Starting to blog here on Scorum can be challenging in the beginning and I would like to assist those who do have some trouble to get started and who could really be in need of some encouragement.

Some final words...

Looks there is another interesting event to start in a few days here in the Far East. The Women Handball Wordcup 2019 will be held in Kumamoto on the Japanese island of Kyushu. 24 teams from all over the world gonna gather to find out which is the strongest Handball team at the moment. All games will be held in or near Kumamoto, which makes it easy for everyone to travel between the venues and to get accustomed. Of course the majority of the teams are form Europe and I am glad that the German women will be there as well, but I also hope that the host team from Japan will be able to show what the have learned in the recent years and that the can perform better than then Japanese men team, which ended last in the last men's worldcup in Germany and Denmark, without winning even a single game.

In group D the Japanese team is facing Russia and Sweden, but also China, Argentina and the Democratic Republic of Kongo, I hope the will manage to finish their group at lest on the fourth place to make it into the next round. Handball is here in Japan still a minor sports but perhaps this event can help to boost awareness and even popularity of this fast-paced and thrilling sports. Next year's Olympic games will see the next chance to show this exciting game to a big crowd in Japan and promote a sport which is clearly dominated by the European countries.

But of course the Japanese team is not unknown in the Handball world, they have been a permanent participant at the World Cup tournament for over 20 years, however not many people here in the land of the rising sun have taken notice of their game and results.

I just noticed that my post will only get 47 percent post payout, so I need to write a bit more to get back to 100 percent. Sure I do think the plagiarism check is a useful tool, but it is truly annoying to be call on and linked to my own articles which I of course are always pretty similar. It is a contest and the rules don't change and neither does the format of my announcement posts. But I always try to add some little extra information, just for the fun of writing about sports and anything else. Not sure if so many of you read until here and or stop soon after the beginning, I wouldn't be surprised if no one gets till the end of my articles, especially in times like this where there are not so many people here at Scorum who are reading somebody else's posts. Therefor nevermind, but I need to fill some space and hopefully this last paragraph will be enough to jump above the critical level. Gonna see this in a few minutes...

Damn, it is still 54 percent, not sure what is going on here, maybe I should just delete the main body of my posts and just come up with the critical question. That would make things much easier and safe me and you a of time. But hey, of course I want to be serious and at least provide some genuine announcement post in case some people new here will stop by and read about what is going on. Are there any new people here recently? I am really wondering if we still attract someone to start writing here on Scorum, I wouldn't be surprised if that wasn't the case though. But yes, I still discover some unknown faces almost every week through this initiative, so it clearly serves some purpose. Sure there are mostly the same people coming over to leave a nomination, but that's alright. I don't want to call out anyone, the game is pretty lame these days and everyone is just thinking whether it still makes sense to continue here. So do I but I will still hang on for a little while, stupid and persistent as I am. Ok, hope that will do the trick now!

56 percent, are you fucking kidding me Scorum?? Something is quite wrong here now and I am not sure how to put it without sounding like a huge prick. That's why I leave it here and just talk about...the weather. It is getting cold here and actually it kinda started snowing today. Of course nothing stayed at the ground but that was a clear sign we are getting into winter soon. I guess I will change my tires this weekend before I will get a slippery surprise, which kinda happened last year, fortunately without any harsh consequences. Sunday might be sunny again and we could see temperature above 10 degrees, I guess that's the best chances to get on it and my little car done. Gonna take me about 30 minutes, sure I won't win a trophy with that or break a record but still better than most people here who go to a garage and ask them to change to winter tires. pretty lame huh?! Hopefully we won't see much snow this winter, last year was already nice but I still remember two years ago when we were snowed in in January had a pretty rough time for some weeks. Nope, I don't need it again. So, is that enough now?

Enough said, I am ready to receive your nominations! Don't be shy, just bring them on folks!

For questions or comments please hook me up in the comments as well. In addition you can find me in the Scorum Patronage channels which I am hosting on the I am Scorum discord channel.

I am hoping to reading from you soon!

Catch you later...

Love and Respect !
