On the morning of the past Friday, a week today. I thought of trying out my luck with some matches through betting, with the hope of achieving two things.

If it should pay out or if I should win the bet, I would buy some Scorum coins and cover the Christmas expenses without stress.

This is my entry for the weekly Happy Moan-Day contest organized by Pete. If you are reading my entry for the first time, this contest is beyond what you read it to be. It helps you link so many of life's occurrence to sport, makes you think deep, help promote your stay on the platform, make your blogs recognized and above all, give you rewards. It is worth trying out. Check the link below..

I set out with putting up the games for my bet. I visited several betting sites, picked up their predictions. I also got some tips from the Scorumnigeria WhatsApp group.

After gathering numerous predictions, I removed the games I feel would be more difficult to produce a GREEN. I picked the remaining games and analysed them bit by bit. Their last five matches, their head to heads, their team news and all.

As you can see in the pictures below, my bet was centered more on Overs, it was less riskier but our system of betting is projected in a way you get bonus for accumulating much games. As a result of this, I accumulated games I know must produce at least, a goal or two. Then I went on with including the leagues like the Eredivisie and the Eerste Divisie, you mainly get Both Teams To Score from their games and Over 2.5. I picked the BTS games, picked the teams I felt should win and staked a sum on it.

The first game started by 4pm at Ukraine. Shaktar opened the bet with a win, I was joyous, I believe it paved the way for a huge win. The other games continued by 6pm, at Netherlands, at Czech Republic, at Turkey, at Serbia. Unluckily for me, amongst these games going on at that time, there was a Judas in club football form and it was performing its Judascious duties at Turkey.

I predicted Both Teams To Score as the outcome between Alanyaspor and Besiktas. To my greatest surprise, 75 minutes gone, it read goaless. I wondered what exactly was going on at Turkey, are players from both teams having a cold feet or something? Are they having problems finding the net?

So many thoughts were going through my mind and I was able to console myself with, Angola scored 4 goals under 10 minutes in am African Cup of Nations encounter. Crystal Palace scorer three goals under 25 minutes.

I remembered several injury time goals and with a glimmer of hope, I wished a miracle like those will occur. Elsewhere, at Netherlands, Serbia and Czech Republic, the games were already green.

90 minutes and injury time passed and not a goal was scored in that encounter in Turkey. The other games at 8 and 9pm ended up giving the green sign bar the game between Ayr United and Inverness Ct in the Scotland Championship that ended in a draw.

I was very close to achieving my aim, very close. I said to myself, "When there is life, there is hope". I hope to get lucky next time.
