The new season is about to start with the Supercup this Saturday and I still had to do an overall results roundup on last season.

This was my second season where I fully documented my personal handicapping and betting on Steemit / Scorum and it has helped me tremendously to not drop my focus during the season. While I was not able to come close to the excellent 2017-2018 season results of +7.05% ROI on 1005 Bets in total, I did manage to make it into another profitable season doing +1.68% ROI. With 1362 bets and slightly higher average stakes, I had a bigger turnover in total but less profit because of the ROI gap running below what I expect to earn on the season.

Total Season 2018-2019 Personal Results:
1362 Bets | 612W-571L-180P | +10.836 Units Profit | +1.68% ROI

The season started out great with a big upswing followed by a longer downtrend after moving up my stakes which recovered making me increase my stakes again to have something of a downswing during the playoffs. So moving up/down in stakes really worked against me this season which is all part of the game.

Season 2018-2019 Results

I pretty much dropped the ball in the last couple matches of the season where I was overly confident and had my stakes maybe a bit too high which ended up costing me. usually, the Europa League / Cup matches perform quite well which wasn't the case this season. The Regular Season over the years remained very stable results wise.

My smallest stakes performed bets this season, most of the time these are bets where I take just a little bit extra on something I'm already on at much more favorable stakes. because I'm already invested I only can take so much extra. The bets where I'm not able to get in as much as I like because of limits usually perform the best, but not this season.

The corners market has been by far my strongest performer in the last couple of years. This time it ended up with a loss while live betting gave the best overall results. I do think live bets should have the biggest edge though as most of the work I put in pre-game is aimed at finding solid live betting Spots. We are also at a point where the bookies made the pre-game lines and odds into somewhat of an exact science which very few people actually beat anymore in the long run.

Taking higher odds above 2.30 traditionally has done very well for me and again provided ok numbers. I will continue to work to take more of these kinds of odds in the 2019-2020 Season. The average odds I took this season came at 2.056 which is actually lower compared to the season before where it was 2.117. Having a downswing automatically made me more cautious taking more 1.8 type of odds.

2018-2019 Posted Bets Results

I have shared plenty of Pre-Game and Live Bets on Steemit / Scorum and The SBC Discord Chanel last season and will continue to do this during the new season. They are usually my more confident bets and results on those last year were quite good!

Pre-game BTC Bets | 57 Bets | +0.08792 BTC | +15.42% ROI
Live Discord Bets results | 254 Bets | +14.221 Units Profit | +5.60% ROI

All pre-game bets were posted exactly as I took them right after I placed them using Nitrogensports or Sportsbet.io and it should perfectly be possible to replicate the results by following along.

All live bets were taken using my betting broker Sportmarket Pro and posted right at the moment I took them myself. It should also be perfectly possible to duplicate the results by keeping an eye out on the SBC Discord channel as I cover every single match there live the entire season.

Personal Long Term Results

When combining both the last 2 season having one where I overperformed and one where I slightly underperformed getting in a total of nearly 2500 bets it's clear that the pink expected profit line is set quite accurate. (+3.4% expected in regular season +2.75% Expected in Playoffs)

Personal Results 2017-2019
2367 Bets | 1078W-967L-323P | +3.97% ROI

Season 2019-2020 Plans

I will continue handicapping and betting the Belgian Jupiler League in a very similar way as the previous season while blogging about it. My stakes will remain roughly the same and it's quite a challenge to move up as I use part of my earnings to cover my general life costs which add up. I'm looking to increase some of my blogging and affiliate earnings this year hoping It will allow me to keep more of my bankroll which would allow me to put even more time into handicapping the league.

This post will also be shared on Steemit and my new Twitter account @costanzabets

Thanks to everyone that showed support the past couple of years. I'm highly looking forward to the 2019-2020 Season and hope to be able to make it into a good one again!
