I'm always looking for more ways to bet on the blockchain and I came across sportbet.one which allows anyone to place bets on the EOS blockchain. I took a closer look at it just now.

Sportbet.one seems to be a bookie on EOS that is offering odds and works with a model that pays out dividends to SBET token holders. Bets can be placed in EOS, SBET or even BTC. They have a weekly top 5 leaderboard prize and also offer a 2% Rakeback on losing bets currently.

Sports Offers & Odds

Sports offers are similar to most other European bookies and also include Asian handicaps & Totals. The odds on average are, you guessed it, really bad and pretty much unbeatable for anyone that will just be using this bookie without any shopping for the best lines. I'm not sure yet how quickly they adjust their odds when there are big moves on the Asian market. The way it looks right now, I will likely be using this bookie as an extra way to shop for the best odds just in case their offer on something I want is higher compared to Nitrogensports or Sportsbet.io or Betr.bet which are all the crypto betting options I'm using right now. Bets seem to be settled similar to regular bookies and the rules are the same as bet365.

SBET Staking Dividends

It looks like I got airdropped 1000 SBET on my EOS account I'm using to place bets. Dividends seem to be paid out every Monday. 370 Million SBET seems to be staked and the estimated dividends are listed on the website per 10k staked. I did stake the 1000 SBET I got and will see what it gives. The price seems to have gone up a lot on the Exchange where EOS tokens can be traded.

Conclusion

I'm not sure that I will be investing in SBET tokens, but I will likely use or at least test out the bookie. These kinds of bookies are potentially easy to beat if you are really selective and make sure to only take the bets where the odds are higher compared to what the Asians are offering. The main advantage is that it's all anonymous and everyone is allowed to bet. Also when betting with EOS, there is no gas cost and you always keep your funds in your own wallet which solved the main issue of most Ethereum based bookies/exchanges like this.
