I have been in Nasarawa for about 2 months now, but I was just not opportune to go around town because of the project I was handling, but yesterday was a total turn around as I moved into the town looking for an apartment for a friend of mine.

Getting into the village I met a team of players training, at that point the force of attraction took over and I moved to the training ground.

The training took place for about 2 hours with fitness training session taking 80% of the time. Seeing how intense the training session was I was being forced to ask who they were, and behold it was Aklosendi International FC Lafia, a club that came to play with Akwa United in Uyo last season. Luckily for me that was their first training as the team resume training ahead of the new season. The new season will kick-start on the 19th January,2019.

Aklosendi International FC is a football club formed in year 2016 to create opportunities, empower and promote football talent.

Aklosendi Int'l FC Lafia plays in the second tier of Nigeria football which is the Bet9ja Nigeria National League (NNL).

The team was knocked out of the Aiteo cup (FA Cup) last season by my state's team Akwa United in the Nest of Champions after they eliminate FRSC Football Club.

Coach

The club had picked Godwin David as it news coach ahead of the new season. In which I met and chatted for few seconds but didn't approve a photo shoot with him.

The Dusty Pitch

Aklosendi Int'l FC current state didn't give me reasons to be happy as they trained on hard and dusty ground, as you can see in those pictures, they deserve something better at least an artificial pitch, because it's hard for grasses to survive due to hot weather round the year.

I have fellowed them on their Facebook page and twitter handle to make sure I'm up to date with what is happening around them as I'm going to spend the next 11 months in Nasarawa State where they are located.

I will try my best to be reporting the happenings around the team when I'm back from Christmas break.

I didn't go without getting a closer shoot of the children which I believe are all U-10.
