Lafia Township Stadium will again be filled to full capacity today as the State's team makes return to their home ground as they welcome Plateau United. Their last home game was against Akwa United on the 28th day of January, 2019 on matchday 5.

Following a disappointing result in matchday 6 for both sides, full attention will be given to this match as Nasarawa United play host to Plateau United in the Lafia Township Stadium this evening.

Nasarawa United has been witnessing a very poor run so far this season. After matchday 1 victory Nasarawa United never pick a point in three different figures until they hosted Akwa United on matchday 5 in which they won 2-0. After then they were whitewash by Kano Pillars 3-0 in their last game.

One of the last 5 games of matchday 7 in the Nigeria Professional Football League will be taking place at the Lafia Township Stadium. As it's stands after yesterday games in the Nigeria League meant that both teams will have a good opportunity to swim off the relegation water. Meaning that Nasarawa United can move 4 places up while the Plateau United can move 2 places up if either team win but will be stuck in their current position if they settle down with a draw in today's game.

Plateau United are just leading the home side with a point.

Six matches has gone down already and Nasarawa United has been the only team to pull a draw as the matches keep rushing in, Plateau United are on the opposite end as they has witness 4 draws which is the most draw by a team so far this season, but they both has same number of game loose which is 1.

Nasarawa won their last home game against Akwa United 2-0 on matchday 5 and will need to produce the same level of intensity to match the Plateau United side who are looking forward to their second win this season.

Plateau United has not been having the best of times as they have face sanction twice so far this season by the League Management for improper behavior of their fans.

First they have to play 3 their home game in Lafia, even as that the fans still have the boldness to throw object at the match official on matchday 5 against Heartland United and they have been fine with a sum of 1 million naira and they has been given a suspended order to its subsequent home matches behind closed doors, which order is suspended for the probationary period of the rest of the season. So their fans has to come to the stand today with loads of best behavior.

Form

Nasarawa United has not been on a safe zone after 6 matches. Winning just 2 and loosing 4 games. They loose their last match 3-0 to Kano Pillars, which is such a disappointing scoreline.

Plateau United boss Abdu Maikaba has been struggling with his new side since his appointment this season. He really enjoy a fine run while in charged of Akwa United last season. Since the beginning of the season, Plateau United has only been able to gather 7 points from 6 games this season which is a poor record for the club.

Head to Head

Nasarawa and Plateau United has encounter each other 6 times in the last 3 years we Plateau United taking a massive lead with 4 wins and Nasarawa United winning once and one draw.

For 2018 season Plateau United defeated Nasarawa United both home and away, 2-1 and 0-1 respectively.

Hopefully today fixture is going to put smiles on the fans face.
