Coming up this Saturday is another much-awaited premier league matchday actions, lots of exciting matches ready to take place.
Man United will be hosting Brighton for their second premier league encounter and will be looking to get their revenge against them this weekend.
Man United have recently found their feet again ever since the appointment of the new manager and are on a run of over 5 wins in a row. They are trying to fight for a place in the champions league next season and will do anything to try to achieve their target.
Brighton, on the other hand, are having a good season based on their ambition for the premier league. They are currently 13th on the table and will try to get as many points as possible to ensure that they remain in their premier league.
On paper, Man United in this current form are expected to not only get the win but to win comfortably since they are playing at home.
Man United vs Brighton
This is a much-anticipated match for the fans especially after losing their first encounter. The team is on a great run of form and a lot of talking points are currently going on whether Man United will finally make it into the top 4. After their win against Spurs last weekend, lots of expectations are currently on them to get a comfortable win against Brighton at home.
Man United are fighting to get into the top 4 and will do everything possible to achieve their ambition. For them, this is a perfect fixture to stand a chance to reduce the gap between them and the top 4 position and keep putting pressure on Chelsea.
Brighton will be going into this game to try to get something out of it, even a draw will be considered an amazing result for them considering that they are playing away at Old Trafford and also a team that is in a flying form at the moment.
My Expectations in Terms of Tactics and Gameplay
For Man United, they will most likely setup in a 4-2-3-1 formation. The team is currently in a flying form, so they will be going into this game fully confident to get the win.
Their gameplay under the new manager has been free-flowing attacking football, so they will try to play their game, keep possession and control the game while also try to score as many goals as possible.
For Brighton, they will probably make use of their usual 4-5-1 formation. Their aim in this match will be to try to make it difficult for Man United like they did against Liverpool last weekend and try as much as possible to avoid defeat. They know how good Man United attack is, so they will most likely keep a low block and stay very compact at the back and try to cause Man United problems through counter-attacks.
My Prediction
For me, I think this current Man United will be far too strong for Brighton. They need to get the crucial 3 points to try to close down the gap between them and the top 4 considering that both Arsenal and Chelsea will be facing each other this weekend. The battle for top 4 finish might go on till the final game of the season, so every crucial will matter a lot to them. Judging by Man United’s performances so far, I think we might see them winning the game with over 2.5 goals.
