The Black Stars of Ghana, the nation's senior men national team has left the country for a 3 week stay Dubai in preparations for the African Cup Of Nations which begins on the 21st of June to the 19th of July. The Ghana Black Stars are in Group F with Guinea-Bissau, Benin and Cameroon.

Before going, they met with the president of Ghana, His Excellency Nana Addo Dankwa Akuffo Addo who wished them the very best and motivated them to make the nation proud. Head coach of the Black Stars, Kwesi Appiah has said they won't let the country down.

It's been 37 years since Ghana last won the African Cup Of Nations even though they've participated in almost every tournament since they last won. It will be in their best interest to win as support for the national team has dwindled after poor performances from the team over the past few years.

Coach Kwesi Appiah earlier in May ripped the captain's arm band from Asamoah Gyan and gave it to Andre Dede Ayew whiles Asamoah Gyan was still actively playing. It's unsure if this has created any tensions in the team, but we hope it all goes well for them. We can only wish them the best.
