Technical Skills
Edin Dzeko is a striker with great physical strength, equipped with an extraordinary technique for a player of his size.
He has excellent aerial abilities and a powerful and precise shot with both feet.
In his career, he has alternated very positive seasons in which he scored many goals, to other less prolific, in which he missed very easy goals, mistakes that have also caused some criticism from supporters and sports journalists.
He is a very generous player and often makes himself useful to the team with his ability to keep ball possession in situations in which the team needs to get out of the opposing forcing. He also has eye for goal and an excellent ability to exploit the opportunities in the box.
In this video, you can see all 39 goals scored with AS Roma in the 2016/17, his best season so far.
Last Best Goal
Dzeko has scored many fantastic goals in his career.
In the first match of this Serie A season against Torino FC on 19 August 2018, the Bosnian striker was decisive at 90' minute with a feat that gave the victory to his team, in a very difficult and fought match.
After the excellent work of his new team-mate Justin Kluivert, Dzeko scores with a wonderful left-wing struck volley that slips into the top corner of the goal defended by the Torino FC goalkeeper Salvatore Sirigu.

Edin Dzeko is nicknamed The Bosnian Diamond, but is called The Swan of Sarajevo too, because, for his great technique combined with his remarkable height, he reminds the deportment of Marco van Basten.
The Bosnian player has revealed that his idol is Andriy Shevchenko and that he keeps an AC Milan jersey with the number 7 in his house in Sarajevo.
- Dzeko is the captain of Bosnia and Herzegovina National Team. He is the most-capped player with 98 played matches and also the all time Top Scorer with 55 goals.
- When he was a child, Edin personally experienced the horrors of the Bosnian war. He declared, in fact, that there was not always something to eat and that he was afraid of dying at any moment, due to the bombing suffered by his city. In 2009, he became the first Bosnian UNICEF ambassador.
In January 2018, he was very close to the transfer to Chelsea, as he confirmed in a recent interview, for an amount that was around 50 million euros. In his decision to reject this important proposal, the opinion of his wife Amra Silajdžić, who considers Rome as a second home, was decisive. Even the striker thinks the same way, especially after his two sons Una and Dani were born in the Eternal City.
