Welcome back to all of you!

I'm continuing the analysis of the Champions League Round of 16 matches, after the 1st leg.

For those who missed the first part, I drop the link here.

Again, if you like, I ask you to write a comment with your thoughts and opinions.

So, I start immediately with my observations.

Good reading!

TOTTENHAM - BORUSSIA DORTMUND

After seeing the course of the two teams in the first group stage of the competition, I would have chosen Borussia Dortmund as favorite for qualifying. Although believing that there was a situation of substantial equilibrium.

And instead, in the 1st leg, we saw an overwhelming victory for Tottenham, at least in the result, 3-0.

The Spurs, without Harry Kane, their most important player, were able to close the defense well and be lethal forward, profiting by the last phases of the match to increase the advantage.

The Germans will have to make a perfect match at Westfalen, even if it's really complicated to think about reversing such a disadvantage.

We'll see if the push of the Yellow Wall will be enough to help Favre's players to complete the mission.

MANCHESTER UNITED - PSG

Also this was to be considered a challenge with an uncertain outcome before the kick-off was given. It must be said, however, that the two teams have different routes in recent years. Manchester United had many ups and downs, Mourinho failed his attempt to bring the Red Devils back to the Ferguson era. PSG, however, is a team built to aspire to the victory of the Champions League. And they showed it widely in Old Trafford, where they dominated opponents, even without two stars like Neymar and Cavani.

I think it's highly unlikely that the result can be overtuned, also considering the fact that in the 2nd match, Manchester will miss one of the best players, Pogba, sent off in the 1st leg. But, beyond that, Tuchel's team proved to be undoubtedly stronger.

ATLETICO MADRID - JUVENTUS

Here in Italy we don't talk about anything else: Juventus, in full control of Serie A league, is failing its main objective, that of trying to win the Champions League. Not even the presence of CR7 gave that push that the supporters expected.

It's never easy to play against Simeone's Atletico Madrid, a tough and compact team that fights on every ball for 90 minutes, especially at home. But, anyway, the result couldn't expected to be so clear after the 1st leg.

Now the Allegri's players are called to a very high level performance, at least for trying to bring the game to extra time. It will be a great challenge, we'll see who will be able to get it.

SCHALKE 04 - MANCHESTER CITY

More than all the others, the outcome of this match was quite obvious since the day of the Nyon draws. If then we consider that Manchester City managed to win on the Schalke 04 pitch after suffering two penalties and a red card, I would say that there is really little else to add.

The team of Guardiola is undoubtedly one of the most accredited candidates for the final victory and I believe that, also in the second match, they will have no problems to get the full result. It's due a mention for Schalke, who struggled with great will and courage, managing to keep the challenge in the balance until the last minutes. But the final score of 2-3 gives very little chances of qualifying to the Germans.
