With both Southampton and Manchester City securing their place in the English FA Cup Semi final, 4 more teams will be locking heads today to get the remaining 2 available slots.
Chelsea will be hosting Sheffield United at Stamdord Bridge, whilst Manchester United will be paying Leicester City a visit at the King Power stadium.
Unfortunately, today's analysis won't be on the game involving my team, rather, we want to see if the Red devils can secure a 5th consecutive Semi final slot.
Let's proceed to the analysis on this game, shall we?
LEICESTER CITY:
1) Just as the analysis given in support of Everton in yesterday's article pertaining to their game against Manchester City where all stats look to favor City, bar the "advantage of playing at home", the same stat is also applicable to the Foxes.
They, Leicester City, have the advantage of playing at home, hopefully, they should be able to make great use of this opportunity.
2) Their improved run of games since their dismal home losses to both Slavia Prague and Arsenal is also a good stat favoring them.
I bet the Red devils won't want to take this stat lightly.
Moving on to the Red devils,
MANCHESTER UNITED:
1) I believe you already know my number 1 stat in favor of the Red devils, you definitely guessed right! It's their "Impressive performance away from home".
We saw them do their thing once again as they put AC Milan to the cross in their own(AC Milan) backyard last week Thursday.
You can bet Brendan Rodgers and his men will also have this stat very much at the too of their list in terms of stats to worry about.
2) The Red devils' better "head to head" in the last 8 games between both sides in all competitions is another huge stat that favors them.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's men have won 6 and drawn the remaining 2 of these 8 encounters.
What even makes this stat more juicy is that the Red devils are unbeaten in their last 5 visits to the King Power Stadium, wining 3 and drawing 2.
Another huge one for the Red devils, isn't it?
3) Ha ha! The "Semifinal attraction", another big stat that favors the Red devils.
It's now beginning to look like Manchester United have got some "fairy tale love with Semifinals" having seen them get to their 4th consecutive Semifinal in this season EFL Cup competition which they lost to Manchester City.
Don't you think Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and his men will most probably make it 5 consecutive Semi finals as they seek to accomplish the "Herculean task" of moving a step further into the Final of a cup competition, one thing that has eluded them in all previous 4 Semi finals?
CONCLUSION:
With the stats before us, the Red devils look favorite to proceed into the Semi final of this competition.
However, suprises are inevitable as nothing stays forever.
Keep your thoughts and predictions coming, they are hugely appreciated as always.
Love always from your Football Analyst and Writer, IbkDaGreat.
