We will once again be shifting our attention away from the English Premier League to the English FA Cup which commences today with 2 games going down: Burnley hosting Championship side, AFC Bournemouth at the Turf moor, and Manchester United welcoming fellow Premier League team, West Ham Uuited to Old Trafford.

Without much hesitation, I will be going for the game between Manchester United and West Ham United, and without wasting much of our time, I will be moving on straight to the analysis.

Stsrting with the home team:

1) MANCHESTER UNITED:

Although the red devils' performance in their last 8 games in all competions this season is not as impressive as that of the hammers with the former getting 4 wins, 3 draws, and 1 loss compared to the latter's 6 wins, 1 draw, and 1 loss, their better "head to head" performance in both teams previous 8 meetings in which the red devils secured a whooping 4 wins compared to the hammers' 2 wins. I bet Ole's men will be going into the game with a huge psychological motivation. Let me also remind you that one of the red devils' 4 victories over the hammers is as recent as this season's EPL first leg.

Another stat, or should I say fun fact that supports the red devils getting a win in this game is their consecutive run of 4 semifinals from last season which they, Manchester United, will be seeking to extend to 5. Well, if the meeting between both sides were to be in a Semifinal, I would have staked more on West Ham getting a win even if they were to play with 9 men considering how United get knocked out of Cup competitions in the semifinals. However this is not a Semifinal Clash, so it is most likely that the red devils will get the win.

Moving on to the hammers.

2) WEST HAM UNITED:

I believe I have talked about the hammers' superior current performance over the red devils in both teams last 8 gamess in all competitions this season. This wil definitely be a huge boost for David Moyes' side going into this game.

Another stat that favors the hammers getting a win in this game is nothing other than the red devils' poor run of games at home which includes home defeats to Brighton and Hove Albion, Crystal Palace, Tottenham Hotspur, Manchester City, and Sheffield United which is the most recent. I bet David Moyes' boys will be looking forward to taking advantage of this stat to get a win over the red devils.

There is definitiy no need for us to talk about the possibilities of both teams getting a draw in this game as the outcome of this game must produce a winner. I believe we will definitely get an entertaining performance from both sides.

Feel free to drop your opinions and comments, they will be greatly appreciated.
