It is Thursday night UEFA football, and you definitely know which of the competition it is going to be. Smiles, you guessed right, it is the UEFA Europa League Round of 32, of which all 16 games will be going down tonight.
However, of all these games, I will love to dwell more on the game involving Real Soceidad and Manchester United as many football lovers wouod want to see how the Red devils would react to their been dumped out of the Champions League by Paris Saint-Germain and RasenBallsport Leipzig.
Although both teams have not been impressive of lately, I will not be suprsised if Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's men got something out of this game and here are my stats to.back this up.
1) Good EPL. Away Record:
Although the Red devil's away record in other competitions is not as great as that if the EPL, I believe they would be coming into this game with huge optimism of getting a win or draw if they are to bank on their good performance away from home in the EPL.
2) Another stat that seems to favor the Red devils is their somewhat superior "head to head" over Real Soceidad in which the former got 1 win and 1 draw in their last 2 meetings way back in 2013.
3) One last point which is more of a fun fact than a stat is that the Red devils seems to be a team that are only destined to be knocked out of the Semifinals of cup competitions irrespective of how good or bad they might be performing in that competition.
The Red devils have been involved in 6 cup competitions since last season, and they have been knocked out in the Semifinal of 4 of these cups whilst they are stilll active in the remaining 2 competitions. I believe this will be some sort of inspiration for Ole's men as well.
Nevertheless, nothing should be taking away from Real Soceidad, remembering that they have got the home advantage and their present form is not that worse than that of the Red devils.
In all, I believe we should also get some entertaining games from the likes of Tottenham Hotspur, AS Roma, Liecester City, Arsenal, AC Milan, Napoli, and Rangers.
