It looks Arsenal are even more clueless now as they extended their dismal run of winless matches in England to 8. Before this game, I had the belief that their poor run of games In the EPL was only limited to the EPL, and that they(Arteta and Arsenal) had a plan on their sleeves which might be to concentrate more on cup games such as (EFL, FA Cup, and Europa Cup). Although this theory seem to have been breached, I believe it could still be true considering the fact that the EFL isn't a huge potential cup and it returns in both monetary and promotion to other competitions cannot be compared to that of the FACup(which leads to the Europa League), and the Europa League(which leads to the Champions League). However this doesn't debunk the fact that this Arsenal team are miles of the track.

A 4:1 loss at Emirates stadium doesn't even speak well. We know they(Arsenal), at their current level are no match for Pep's Manchester City, but they should have at least ensured the game didn't end up in a rout. It seemed the game was going to be a fair one at the beginning wben they(Arsenal), through Lacazette, in the 32nd minute, canceled out Gabriel Jesus early minute goal. But quickfires from Riyad Mahrez and Phil Foden in the 55th and 59th minutes took away all the initiatives from Arsenal, and another goal by Manchester City from Aymeric Laporte in the 73rd made sure the game was done and dusted.

Manchester City, on the other hand, who are enjoying a good run of 9 games without a loss will be looking to secure the EFL Cup for a record 4th time consecutively after setting the record of being the first team to win it 3 times consecutively just last year starting from 2018 to 2020. Their win over Arsenal has ensured them a spot in the semi final.

The EFL continues today as Stoke City will be hostjng Tottenham, whilst in form Manchester United will be visiting Goodison Park for the 2nd time this season as they face off against another in form side, Everton. The last meeting between Everton and Manchester United ended in favour of the Red devils, I believe the Toffees will be going out for a revenge this time, so we should be expecting a really entertaining game. Tottenham on the other hand will be seeking to return to winning ways after loosing 2 games consecutively to Liverpool and Leicester City respectively.

I beleive we will be well entertained today.

Feel free to drop your opinions and comments, they will be most welcomed.

Much Love
