We are back to Europe's prestigious Football Club tournament. Yes, it's the UEFA Champions League, with 2 of the remaining 4 games for the Round of 16 going down today.
Manchester City will be taking on Borussia Mochengladbach at the Etihad, whilst Real Madrid will be hosting Atalanta at the Santiago Bernabeu.
However, our attention for today's analysis will be between Los Blancos of Spain and the Nerazurris of Italy as we await a huge fight between both sides for a place in the competition's Quater final.
Let's proceed with the analysis, shall we?
Starting with the home team as usual:
REAL MADRID:
1) Real's better performance in their last 8 games in all competitions compared to Atalanta is 1 standout stat in favor of the former.
Los Blancos are unbeaten in their last 8 games, winning 6 and drawing 2, compared to the Nerazurris' 6 wins and 2 losses.
A fair one for Zinedine Zidane's men you wnat to say.
2) The fact that Los Blancos got an all important "Away Goal" at the Gewiss Stadium in Italy gives them another huge advantage over the Nerazurris.
A draw is good enough to see Zizou's men proceed into the next round, and I don't think this should be hard for them, do you?
Moving on to Gian Piero Gasperini's men:
ATALANTA:
1) Although the Nerazurris look to be at a disadvantage at the moment, their resilient and impressive style of play should not be overlooked.
Real could barely get pass them even with a man down last time out, I bet they, Atalanta, will be coming all out this time just to secure a place in the next round of the competition.
CONCLUSION:
In all, Real Madrid's experience is most likely to see them through although, I expect Atalanta to put up a strong fight.
