Dreams might soon be reality for usain bolt, the hopes of him playing at the top level, has been bolstered by the Jamaican FA President Michael Ricketts, who believes the sprinter turned footballer, could be called up in the senior national side ( the reggae boys) if he can develop his skills.
The Jamaican FA President, also said he is frustrated by Bolt's recent actions."I am a little disappointed that Usain hasn't signed up with the Jamaican club" Ricketts told ESPN FC. Adding that it would have been of greater advantage if he plays his club football at Jamaica, it would have helped alot in following up his development and watch closely on his progress . If eventually bolt is called up, it will definitely be another great achievement for him, and i am pretty sure the people of Jamaica will be anticipating his call up. His appearance on the team will really pull a large football fans coming to watch the star man. That should be a good business for the Jamaican FA, they are playing their cards well.
The retired Jamaican sprinter Usain Bolt, who has multiple Gold medals to his name, in 2008 Olympic Games, he became the first person in history to win both the 100-meter and 200-meter races in record breaking times, 2016 Summer Games in Rio he made history again when he won gold in the 100-meter and 200-meter race and 4x100-meter relay.
The eight-time Olympic Gold medalist would be welcomed by the Reggae Boys, according to the leader of the nation's FA."If he can add a little bit of skill, some flair, he could supplement this Jamaican team.
Usain bolts's football journey started in November , that same year he set new Olympic records, he made his intentions known to the world of pursuing a professional fooball carrier. The jamaican man have joined couple europes best teams like durtmund during the pre-season training. Bolt said "For me, if I could get to play for Manchester United, that would be like a dream come true. Bolt featured on a friendly game for Australian club Central Coast Mariners (of the A-League) against an amateur club Macarthur South West United and scored a brace in the second half.
My Remark; I am not really a fan of this route usain bolt has choosen to take, But, is his dream and he is living in it. The news for a call up into the national side, I think will push him to work hard. But the dream of playing for Manchester United is still miles away from being achieved. If you watched him play, you can see him still struggling to hold on to the ball and making clear cut passes. The jamaican FA president is right when he said he has to work to develop himself and add more skill.
Thanks for Reading to the End.
