Manchester United are already into the last 16 of the Champions League, and the contest against Valencia will just be a formality. Also, Valencia already has secured its spot in the Europa league. Juventus is the other team in Group H to make into last 16, and are 2 points clear of United at the top. United can progress as a big winner if and only if Young Boys pull the biggest upset defeating Juventus.

United are struggling with injury, we will see lots of rotation against Valencia. Also, United need to play against league leader Liverpool who are unbeaten in a league this season. We might see the best utilization of the bench. Romero is certain to start at the goal who haven't played since Carabao Cup. The other players likely to start are Andre Pereira and Fred who haven't got playing time. The other player likely to start should be Pogba. Pogba hasn't started in some of the recent matches, and this match is going to be chance to prove for Pogba. Thus, the trip to Valencia would be all about resting the top guns and keeping them fresh for the match against Liverpool. Martial who missed the match against Fulham after injury would get rest and should be good to start against Liverpool. Matic is another player needing the rest.

After a positive performance against Fulham in the weekend, United should be confident against Valencia. These 2 teams played a boring 0-0 draw at Old Trafford in the reverse fixture. With no pressure in results, we should see some goals in Spain. Scoring has been one of the biggest problems for United among many this season. But for everyone surprise, United struggled to score at home compared to away matches in Champions League. United only managed 1 goal in 3 home fixtures while scored 5 in 2 away fixtures.

And for Valencia, they are another team with the biggest problem. After finishing last season high in Champions League position, they currently sit at 15th in the league. Last weekend, they played 1-1 draw against Sevilla, which was their 9th draw of the season. They got the equalizer in the 90th minutes of the match. Also, they are struggling to score the goals as they have scored just 12 goals in 12 games so far. But Valencia is very tight at the back. They have conceded only 12 goals, the second-best defense in the La Liga after Atletico Madrid bettering Barcelona and Sevilla.

To conclude, both teams won't be serious about this match. Won't be going to the results as both teams want to get over this match and focus in the league. Jose has all his focus on upcoming fixture against Liverpool. I am just hoping to see some goals and none of the players to get injured.
