The post header was the summary of what Christiano Ronaldo long words mean as he addresses the sporting world with a classy message to clear the air surrounding his rumoured transfer out of Juventus. Since Messi left Barcelona for PSG, they have been lots of news linking Ronaldo to the club also especially has Mbappe has refused to extend his contract with the club.

PSG are not the only club to be linked with the football maestro as clubs like real Madrid have also sprung up due to Ronaldo's success while playing for the current coach (Ancelloti). Although the coach has denied his involvement in any process that entails bringing back the club legend to the club, he maintains that he is happy with the squad he got.

Even the name of Manchester United has surfaced on numerous occasions to as that was the team he made his name from. This appears to be just a plot to get Ronaldo's name in the media's news and drive traffic to their posts. The news of Pep Guardiola looking at Ronaldo as a temporary fix for his striking position came as a shock and I find it hard to believe due to the non-existent relationship between the two individuals.

Ronaldo is not the only one whose name has been soiled by media, players such as Pogba and Mbappe has also been feasted on. News of Pogba being unhappy is still making rounds and him looking to round up his contract in other to play for his dream team Real Madrid. While this appears true, it has been rubbished by the player. Aside from that no real substance in this news as most appears as just a click-bait to get the views and traffic down to their news outlets.

Even before Messi finally pens a deal with PSG, news of him joining teams such as Chelsea and the two Manchester sides were circulating on the internet. A piece of news said Chelsea owner has met with Messi and he has promised to give him a blank cheque if he signed for the team. The accumulation of all these rumours and fake news is gradually making me lose the urge to read sports news as most are [purely based on speculations instead of facts.

Even as bad this practice makes the media look, many still prefer it due to the huge traffic it helps them generate and drastic actions needs to be taken by teams and players to reduce or eliminate this. One action to take is to sue the media houses and spoke men as this will send a clear message that such activity is misleading and many reports who report fake news will likely detest from this act. What other activities could be done to avoid the circulations of fake news?
