Manchester City are 14 points clear off second placed City rival; Manchester United who had decided in their play to give City a free ride after drawing three consecutive games.
Manchester City started the season on an average level with the likes of Liverpool, Tottenham, Leicester, Southampton and Everton enjoying themselves at the summit of the table before dropping points consistently and leaving the City Rivals; Manchester United and Manchester City avenue to get back to winning ways and find their way to the top and now it's basically a one-man race as it's basically a Man. City trophy to lose.
Looking at the Circumstance that surrounds this season, the Defending Champions had great challenges as they are battling with injuries and the manager refused to buy alternatives especially for the defense and the team do have a small squad unlike Man. City. At some point in the season it seemed like Liverpool could manage with the injuries and get better but it didn't go that way as they rather got more injured players extending from defenders to Midfielders getting injured in numbers and thereby pushing them off the title race.
Aside from Liverpool the Top Six teams aside from Man. City aren't in good form now:
Liverpool
Man. Utd
Arsenal
Chelsea
Tottenham
Leicester.
Chelsea had issues that pushes them to Chase Club legend; Frank lampard, Arsenal still struggling with Arteta, United not seeming like recovering soon under Ole, MOURINHO not having his best in Tottenham
I feel City are earning more points and consistency because other teams aren't doing well and I mentioned that, this same scenario happened when Leicester won and here's it with other team weakness favouring man. City.
