Who could have image that high scoring Manchester city will not muster a single goal against unstable Chelsea Fc. The match between Chelsea and Manchester United was no doubt before the game has been predicted to be against Chelsea considering City form; that is sweeping teams away in the league. Manchester City has been on an unbeaten run so far in the league and it looks like no team could stop them. May be except Liverpool who are also doing very well on their own.
While many pundit and sports lover had said it will be a walk over and a true test of sarriball only few Chelsea fan could beat their chest and say we are getting a draw against City. I was very optimistic that my dear club will get a point from the match. You may call it fanatic but I see and ardent fan who believe so much in his team.
Sarri started the game without a point man striker but rather use Hazard as false night. It seems like a match Chelsea Sarri came for a draw. The game at Stamford Bridge started pretty very well with City dominating every department of the game with Chelsea players looking very confused with their passes as well. Pep boys always won the ball back immediately they lose it.
Kante had on the ... minute put Chelsea on the driver wheel with Chelsea first short on target when Harzard’s pass beat three City players who had crowded around him in the eighteen yard box meet an un-marked Kante who smashed the ball passed the keeper at the roof of the net. Even though Sarri didn’t look very elated for the goal, it was well celebrated at the shed end of the stadium. The game finished 1-0 in the first half having City winning in possession, corner and foul and number of completed passes.
The second half was a different ball game as Chelsea took the game to City. Williams and Pedro could have have made it 3-0 within the first 10 minutes of the half time but missed those opportunities. Guardiola had to bring in Gabriel Jesus in for Sane but that didn’t affect the game as Chelsea was looking more of the team to score next. Chelsea made it 2-0 from a fine corner kick at the 78th minute of the game to put the score line beyond the reach on City.
As a Chelsea fan, am very happy sarriball has proven many wrong and look forward to next season when Chelsea shall challenge for the title. I wish Liverpool and Manchester City all the best even though here may still be some dark horses in the race.
