Marcos Alonso.

In case Marcelo remains inconsistent like last season or fails to impress all round i.e. remains error prone in his defensive duties then expect Marcos Alonso's arrival at the Bernabeu next summer. It won't be just because of the fact that Alonso is a great player but also because he fits in all the new agendas of the club i.e. Spanish, home grown/La Fabrica product, and besides If we could make an eleven of currently active La Fabrica graduates then probably this is what it would look like. A pretty decent squad. Besides there are many names missing like Achraf, Callejón, Saúl, Rodrigo, Mariano, Antonio Adán, Fede Valverde, Borja Valero etc for bench.

Marcos Alonso talks about his possibility of moving to Real Madrid

Real Madrid has been my home for a long time and that hasn't been forgotten. I grew up there, met a lot of people and debuted with the first team. That's something that will always be special to me and I can't deny that. To debut in the first team there was a dream."

“I lacked the patience to play there,” he admitted to Marca. “In my final season there, I got my debut but I wanted to play every week. When I had an offer from the Premier League, I had no hesitation. I don’t regret it.

“When you are a kid, you aren’t mature and you want to get up and play every week. I didn’t do anything wrong. I’m very happy with my career and I want to improve even more.
