On this day 2004,DIDIER DROGBA joined Chelsea football club.

The rest is history. Registered himself as one of the greatest players in the blue shirt and the Premier League. He is best known for his career at Chelsea, for whom he has scored more goals than any other foreign player and is currently the club's fourth highest goal scorer of all time. He has been named African Footballer of the Year twice, winning the accolade in 2006 and 2009

After moving from Ivory Coast to France as a youngster he was inspired by the progress of his uncle Michel, a professional footballer in the French league: “He was the one who gave me the [passion] for football.
