These friendlies and nations league is as useless as it gets. He came out of injury scare and Giggs called him up but he himself needs to understand where he is needed more right now. I can't believe we are allowing him to go.

I hope he doesn't play even 1' so that he can focus on his main job this year: being the main at Real Madrid. That sounds a little bit more important than a friendly game to me.

Carvajal could miss two months with calf injury

Real Madrid published the medical report on defender Dani Carvajal earlier this Thursday and even though the club did not mention the extent of this injury, reports from Spain suggest that Carvajal will miss at least six weeks. This means that the right-back won’t be available for El- Classico against Barcelona, which will be played on October 28th.

“Carvajal’s injury is far worse than what was initially expected. He has a severe tear in his left calf which could keep him out of the field 6-8 weeks."

Absence of Carvajal means two things for Lopetegui. Either he can go with Nacho on the right and Marcelo on the left or he can provide a position for Alvaro Odriozola on the right and switch between him and Nacho.

Since Nacho is a more experienced player, i think julen will be starting in the Classico but as a right back Odriozola is miles better than Nacho i think... If Odriozola starts the next few matches and replicates his form from his Real Sociedad days, than i think it's safe to start him over Nacho in El-Clasico... But at the end of the day it's just my opinion!

First Zidane, Now kovac,but i dont see any serious attitude problems but I will love to see him back at the Bernabeu again playing for the white angel, Any player of james's caliber would be angry if he isn't in the starting eleven and not getting playtime. He was probably the best midfield player in the Bundesliga last season and had an immediate impact on the team. He also played a large part and contributed to goals against real in the ucl tie with a goal and assist. I believe real are lacking someone with his attacking style of play who can also provide those throughballs, crosses,long balls over the defence. He is very good with the set pieces too. With james and kova loaned out the midfield has lacked that creativity or decisiveness and it is evident in these crisis situation. I still remember his first season at real where he made an instant impact in la liga and scored around 18 goals apart from numerous assists.
