English pundits insist Mohammed Salah and Sadio Mane are far from natural finishers

After Jurgen Klopp's men drew to Newcastle, English pundits have accused African duo, Salah and Mane of not being natural finishers.

Specific highlights of Liverpool's performance

Liverpool was far from their best when they matched up against Newcastle. As has been the story this season, some lacklustre display in front of goal handed them an unwanted draw.

Egyptian king Mohammed Salah scored an awesome goal just after four minutes of play.

Klopp's lads went on to enjoy other scintillating goal-scoring opportunities. Nonetheless, due to their wasteful nature in front of goal, none of these changes was converted.

Liverpool, went on to ruin their missed chances after Newcastle equalized. Ex-Arsenal midfielder Joe Willock was finally able to find the net for Newcastle, during the final minutes.

Amid Liverpool's underwhelming display against Newcastle, pundits were quick to share views on the possible causes of their woes.

Fingers were pointed at the forward duo of Salah and Mane. Although not castigating them completely, firm questions were asked about their finishing abilities.

When asked about their numbers, the analysts insisted the duo only recorded those stats due to the chances created by the team. As opposed to their clinical prowess.

The stand was that if the duo were clinical finishers, they would be attaining better composure in front of goal.

Conclusion

Liverpool has endured a completely below-average season. Among their many worries, the chances missed by their front line has been a major cause for concern.

Salah, Mane, Firmino and Jota have proven to be far from natural finishers. However, for a change, signing a number nine with good numbers could be a major source of rejuvenation for the team.
