Bukayo Saka and Three Lions manager Gareth Southgate

English pundits have urged Gareth Southgate, to include Bukayo Saka in the starting lineup for their semi-final clash against the Danes.

The Arsenal skipper received a knock in training and was unavailable in the quarter-final clash against Ukraine.

In as much as the Three Lions were victorious, pundits have insisted that including Saka in the semis clash against Denmark would be a huge addition.

Bukayo Saka's replacement for the clash against Ukraine

After picking a knock in training, the playmaker was replaced by Jadon Sancho.

On his part, Sancho gave a good account of himself in the clash against Ukraine. In line with that, his presence can be considered a threat to Bukayo Saka's position.

Bukayo Saka's quest for fitness

Saka would no doubt be desperate to be back fully fit. His presence would as usual give the manager something to think about.

As it stands, both Jadon Sancho, Bukayo Saka and Phil Foden are capable of plying their trade at the right-hand flank. Nonetheless, it seems English pundits are giving Saka the upper hand.

Bukayo Saka's Euro performances

The Arsenal playmaker has only represented the Three Lions two times in the ongoing Euro campaign.

His first outing was in a 1-0 win to the Czech Republic. After the game praises were heaped on Saka, as many called that he starts more games.

In line with that, Saka was again named in the first eleven for the round of 16 tie with Germany. Once more the playmaker was spot on.

Conclusion

After a series of scintillating displays, it is sad to see Bukayo Saka miss the quarter-final clash.

Nonetheless, the Three Lion supporters would be hoping that he would be back in time for the semi-final games.
