Ex-Arsenal legend Bob Wilson has shared his thoughts on English shot-stopper Aaron Ramsdale. According to Wilson, he described Ramsdale as a complete shot-stopper.
However, the Ex-Goal Keeper insisted Ramsdale has a major issue. He pointed out that cameras usually feature Ramsdale shouting at defenders whenever they make mistake. Highlighting the attitude was not a good one.
Defender's strength
A defenders strength usually comes from the fact that his goalkeeper encourages him to give his best. Not screaming when he makes a mistake.
Insisting that Ramsdale's attitude of screaming at defenders has not been helpful to the team. Instead, it has caused the defenders to lose command of their area.
Moving on, Wilson urged Ramsdale to focus on working with his defenders, instead of criticising them by screaming.
Bob Wilson's history
Wilson was an extremely important member of the Arsenal squad sometime in the 90s. With his great abilities in goal, Wilson grew to be one loved by numerous fans of his time. And is respected down to this day.
As a final statement, he pointed out that Arsenal could not have asked for someone better than Aaron Ramsdale as of now. However, the British man can do some more to improve himself.
Conclusion
Ramsdale has been fantastic for the Gunners this season. May even be arguably described as their best signing of the summer.
However, his shouting at defenders may just be a final puzzle he needs to fix concerning his overall gameplay.
