No team deserves to be encourage last week than Southampton in my own view because the game between the club and Leicester City is a memorable game in the history of both clubs. While the Foxes will be having a good memory of the game, Southampton will be trying everything in their best to forget about the game because it was a whitewash result as the visitors thrashed them 9 goals to nil in front of their very own fans. No one ever see that coming anyway, it was such a great humiliation from Leicester City as Vardy and Perez both bag an hat-trick goal in that particular encounter. The defeat was actually the biggest defeat of the Saint in almost 134 years and took them to second on the list of clubs that has been humiliated with such a big margin lost.

Although the club took a beautiful step after the game which i really like and i also see as a way of encouraging themselves by donating almost a week wages of their wages to charity both the manager and the players to show some level of respect to their home fans. Their problem begins in the game when Bertrand was red carded for a bad challenge on Leicester City player Perez and actually became the first player to be sent off following a perfect VAR review but we can't really say the card was the reason why the club suffer such a big disgrace because we have seen so many teams winning with 10 men against 11.

The foxes were already ahead in just 10 minutes of the game through B Chilwell before Bertrand got sent off in the 12 minutes and easily one can just deduce the fact that the red card was the reason Saint went down with such a big margin because it was a 5 goals different before the half time and while Saint manager Ralph Hasenhuttl will be thinking of changing his game plan after the red card, the Foxes went ahead to double their lead in the 17 minutes through Belgium man Youri Tielemans and two minutes after the Leicester celebrated the second goal, Ayoze Perez got himself on the score sheet through a one two ball with Tielemans and what a way to score his first goal for the club.

The Saint could have done everything possible to prevent more goals from coming in here but they were unable to hold the tempo coming from Leicester City as Chilwell cross once again found Perez in the 39 minutes after beating Saint defender Valery which the forward manage to strike past Saint goalkeeper Gunn and few minutes to the end of the first half, James Ward-Prowse headed Chilwell cross into the path of Vardy which allow the striker to get his first goal in the game. Perez in just 12 minutes into the second half completed his hat-trick when Barnes delivered a brilliant cross over the defenders of Southampton and that makes it 6 goals lead in the earlier minute of the second half. Chilwell was actually a problem for the Saint in that encounter as his cross also found Vardy who headed the ball past Gunn to make it seven.

The last two goals came when Southampton would have wish the Foxes has nothing to offer again when they were awarded a free kick in the 85 minutes and Maddison guided the ball into the top corner of the net before Vardy completed hat-trick from the spot in the additional minutes of the 90 minutes. Actually the club has done so well to donate their wages to charity which shows they know they have to correct their mistakes but i will still encourage them with this quote that says

Success is the result of perfection, hard work, learning from failure, loyalty, and persistence. ...

The club need to learn from their failure and bounce back to winning ways.
