Barcelona - Catalonia's political climate is heating up. LaLiga proposed to RFEF (Spanish Football Federation) that the El Clasico duel next week be moved to Madrid.

Barcelona is scheduled to host Real Madrid at Camp Nou to play El Clasico the first volume of the season on October 26, 2019. LaLiga has submitted a request that the battle location be moved to the Santiago Bernabeu.

Various protests are flooding Barcelona after prison sentences handed down to a number of political prisoners related to the issue of independence of Catalonia. Barcelona's main airport was even closed due to clashes between the masses and security forces.

A massive demonstration was called for by pro-independence politicians on October 26, just as El Clasico was held.

Madrid reportedly plans to leave for Barcelona the day before the match and spend the night there.

However, it is feared that mass demonstrations will target the Madrid squad. The LaLiga request has been received by RFEF and a decision will be made within the next few days.
