Barca is a unique club with a unique style admired by every player and team in the world. I don't understand why people criticize Valverde so much. I agree with the fact that his tactics are somewhat defensive unlike that of Guardiola or Enrique but fans have to understand that when he started coaching he didn't have the best creative midfield that Guardiola had (Xavi, best of Iniesta) and also he lost the fierce trio of Messi, Neymar and Suarez in his first season and his replacement that was Dembele was injured almost the whole season.

Actually what he did was that he balanced the ineffectiveness of super-powerful attack with the help of crowding the midfield and that is what you guys call a defensive play. And you can all observe that things have changed a lot since the start of this season, like going back to 4-3-3, giving Dembele more time and space, promoting la Masia talents like Alena. Fans have to admit that he won a domestic double with the weakest Barca side in over a decade. Even Guardiola had 2 bad seasons. And when you win so many matches in the second half (including this Classico) you are outplaying the other team by your tactics. Half time has been a great time for Valverde's team and that shows his abilities. His team isn't half as good as Guardiola's but he is still making it work.

if barça try to get his old style back it's going to cost a lot of time to adjust, obviously I don't want then to lost a game but it's going to happen if they're going to change the game style. But its hard to play you have got to understand playing the way they did was when Xavi Iniesta Busquets were the trio who were the best midfield trio with a young Messi and a defense of pique in prime and Puyol with Dani Alves at right-back all these players were good at tiki-taka so it was playable but now they have a weaker team than before although their team is good the likes of Vidal and Rakitic arent good at one-two play pass and move although Arthur and Coutinho are as close as they get it still can't happen the way it used to.

Valverde took Athletic Bilbao to europa with limited players, other coaches can't do that. Valverde came at a time when their team was transitioning, everyone expected them to be thrash after Madrid defeated them in the super Clasico but Valverde ensured they won 2 trophies last season despite the deadwood he got with him last season! Stegen is an employee of Barça and his job is to ensure they don't concede, so, he was just doing his job.
