On so many occasion, the world of soccer has witnessed great players come and go. Some recognised & acknowledged while others disbanded as a result of inferiority complex. Most times, players abilities and influence is been overshadowed by greater talent. With this effect, only the greater talents are recognised.

E.g during the days of Cristiano Ronaldo at Real Madrid, Benzema laid under his shadow. Now at Juventus, Paulo Dybala whom the fate of the club rested on his shoulder now comes into the field of play as a second optioned player. Same situation within Barcelona where Dembele seems to perform underneath the influence of Lionel Messi.

Over to the EPL. the likes of Sergio Arguero, Mo Salah, Hazard, Kane are undoubtedly acknowledged for their tremendous contribution to their respective teams. However, some have been neglected due to the presence of others. Heung-Min Son seem to be a victim of this circumstance. Its crystal clear that Harry Kane and Dele Alli were the attention just before they both got injured. We all know since then, it has been a tooth and nail fight to secure the third position. Son has really been lifted the burden of the team on his shoulder alongside Llorente who's not so much a regular starter with Kane around.

Heung-Min Son has consecutively scored in his last 4 games in all competition since his return from the Asian cup. His return after Tottenham lost against crystal palace in the FA cup fourth round kept them afloat and running in the premier league. His late minute goal against Newcastle was the hit he was looking for to make the difference and it gave him the respect he deserved.

"Son Heung-min has been one of the best players in the Premier League this season" - Jamie Carragher
