If anywhere people value high and love winning in national cup it's England. The most famous cup competition "FA cup" came to 4th round which bring us some interesting games. One of those games is Southampton - Tottenham. Manchester United legend Roy Kane said recently that they always considered Spurs as "cup team", which meant they are not serious competitor for title, but in cup it's another story. Spurs gave up title hopes long time ago, top 4 places look hard to achieve and only thing fans can hope is good run in FA cup and Champions League.

Southampton

Home side were in relegation zone not so long ago, but then they started to play really good and now they are one of clubs with best form. This is how Premier League table would look like if we count only last 6 games. Southampton is on high 3rd place just behind undisputed leader Liverpool who is winning everyone everywhere, and excellent Manchester City squad. Only loss came against Wolverhampton 2:3 after leading with 2:0. They also won Spurs few weeks ago 1:0 in the game where H.Kane picked up injury. Last time on their ground Spurs had 1:0, but missed few 100% chances and game ended with Southampton win and earn points which brought them to safety. Those winnings and good form will give home side some self confidence and in form striker Ings is probably thinking about scoring goals in this game.

Tottenham

Tottenham is on 10th place on form table, they don't play to well, but players are trying hard. Win against Norwich and return of goal keeper Ugo Lloris will boost their confidence too. Team need real leader in absence of H.Kane and winner of World Cup is right guy for that. He has authority and respect of defenders and command them better than savior from Watford - Gazzaniga. Lo Celso also completely adapted to high standards and speed of games in Premier League and was man of the match against Norwich. N'Dombele is also fit. Winks ankle injury might be good thing for Spurs because it will maybe force Mourinho do give N'Dombele chance. This guy has a lot of potential and is very skillful with the ball. However to safe style of play with phone call to other side what they'll do with the ball is not good and things in attack does not look very nice because Lucas and Son are not in big form and we never know will Dele Alli or his brother play. :) Spurs have no striker yet, Mou thinks Parrot is not ready for first squad football and Levy is tightening his belt in offers to various strikers. It will be hard game for Spurs.

Conclusion

If Alli is going to play and not his brother and if Mou give more chance to N'Dombele Spurs might hope for good result here. Southampton might be in great form, but not bogeyman like Liverpool or Manchester City. It's club Spurs can play against and hope for good result even without H.Kane. Eliminating in early stage of 4th round would be bad for Tottenham and Mourinho. I think Southampton is more concentrated on league play and Spurs should be able to draw here and then in replay progress in next stage just like against Middlesborough. I expect 1:1 result here.
