Tottenham Hotspur lost against Newcastle 0:1 at home after something I would call "disturbing performance". Secret 3rd title aspirant showed really poor performance in which nothing was right. Defenders Sanchez and Rose showed they are real dynamic duo backward. Sanchez allowed ball to go over his head 3 times, and Rose was to far away to do anything. After one of such actions where Sanchez went without any need to close to right and let Joelington alone behind Newcastle scored winner.
Defense
I think Sanchez need compass to know where he is on the pitch. Maybe radar too, to evaluate altitude of the ball. This was just embarrassing. He did such things 2-3 times and tried to get red card near the end, but referee who does not like Tottenham did not want to do Spurs a favor and send him off after he brought down Newcastle player as last man in defense. This defensive duo with average player like KWP as 3rd is just to bad for Premier League. 4 goals in 3 games, goals conceded against Villa and Newcastle prove that. Poch's statement about the best are playing and Sanchez is better than Vertonghen is just not right. If so I can't imagine how out of form or poor Vertonghen must be if this Colombian *#!$!#@ is better than him. LoL
Sissoko could block this cross if he only didn't move in a way which allow ball to go through him. Maybe he was afraid for his silicon breasts ? Maybe ball could damage them ? Poor move by Madrid traffic policeman! LoL!
Joelington made one step like he is going closer to ball, Sanchez did 2-3 in same direction, but Joelington then moved away from him and he didn't notice.
Sanchez is to far away from Joelington, Rose is also away and then Sanchez tried to do header and let ball go over him!
What a positioning and header by "better than Vertonghen" ! Shell I say it's not offside because of him too ? Blindfolded Vertonghen is better player than Sanchez! Ian Vertonghen is big football daddy and developer of football for D. Sanchez!
Joelington gets the ball Rose has awaken, but now it is to late!
Midfield
Midfield without Eriksen is pure shite, they can't create enough chances even against weak clubs which defend with 10 man. They pass to slow between each other and give plenty of time to defense to assemble. Ball must travel faster between Spurs players and forwards need to open themselves for balls better than that. Only 3 or 4 chances when you have 80% of possession of ball is to few. They are just not good enough. They play "alibi" just not to lose the ball play short to nearby player often backwards and do it slow. Breaking 10 man defense need fast traveling of ball from wing to wing to spread defense and to make them out of position, through balls, shots from distance. We saw nothing from that from Spurs yesterday. Lamela looked like shite in this game.
Attack
Attackers did not have their evening too. Lucas missed one solid chance in first half. What he missed in second was unbelievable. Alone on 6-7m of empty net fired up ball well above bar. He to often ran into path of H.Kane. H.Kane didn't touch ball much, but when he need to do that and score a goal from 5 m. he missed entire football! It was quite embarrassing. There was some penalty claim about penalty over him, I think it was penalty, but he was just not good enough yesterday. No long range shots, not enough openings, walking on the pitch etc... Son was not worth spending words on him, he didn't do anything useful during entire game except one volley in goal keeper. He was invisible!
Coach
Not bringing Vertonghen and forcing Sanchez is very poor decision, not starting with Eriksen was poor decision too. Statement on press conference "You would not ask that if we won 3:0" was poor too. Well Poch you didn't win 3:0 and we can ask. LoL I really think it is some deeper problem. His previous statement "I decide who will play" might be read like "Levy forbid me to put Vertonghen and Eriksen until they sign new contracts.". I don't think he is that kind of coach who really thinks Sanchez is better player than Vertonghen or maybe Vertonghen is so poor. What bothers me the most is feeling that something is wrong in relationship between players. Vertonghen's black eye was highly suspicious. He looked like freshly get beaten. Hary Kane's walking on the pitch was something unusual rare to see. One thing is sure Spurs did not learn anything after Aston Villa game. I feel they will have big problems with clubs like Burnley, Sheffield United or Crystal Palace in future.
