Kieran played in Aubameyang who scored the second goal for Arsenal in their massive 2–0 win over Manchester City in the 2019/20 FA Cup final

Mission accomplished!

What seemed like a deal that could drag into July has finally been dusted by the bigwigs at Arsenal.

Kieran Tierney's future was up in the air some few weeks back with reports suggesting Arsenal were stuck in a deadlock getting him to extend his stay at the Emirates.

But that's old news now with the Scot finally putting pen to paper a long term contract at Arsenal. The left-back penned down a new five-year that will see him remain at Arsenal until 2026.

Kieran, 24, who joined Arsenal from Scottish giants Celtic has featured 62 times for the Gunners since making a permanent switch in the summer of 2019.

Head coach Mikel Arteta has expressed his delight over the long term contract, admitting he was happy the "Kieran deal" had been trashed by those at the helm.

Arteta also praised the Scot for providing so much strength to his Arsenal team since making the switch from Celtic two years ago.

Kieran won his first medal in the FA Cup 2–1 win over Chelsea during Arteta's first spell as Arsenal boss in 2019 and was pivotal in the Gunners semi-final 2–0 win over Citizens Manchester City. The defender played in skipper Aubameyang for his second goal on the evening that helped seal their place in the FA final at Wembley against rivals Chelsea.

With the problem of keeping Kieran for the long haul now out of the window, Arsenal can now turn their full attention to signing Brighton centre-back Ben White, who is reportedly valued at £50 million.
