Thibaut Courtois officially completed his dream-move to Real Madrid after 7-year spell at Chelsea. Big Belgian is happy to finally reunite with his family who live in Spanish capital since 2011, when Thibaut first arrived in Madrid on loan for Atletico. Goalkeeper still needs to undergo medical, but we’ll see him in his new jersey before the end of the day. Chelsea also confirmed the deal which is instantly caused big movements in the squad with Mateo Kovacic being involved:
Conversely, Blues have replaced Courtois by breaking the world record (set in July) to bring new goalkeeper – Kepa from Athletic Bilbao – for €80 million. Fun fact is that Real Madrid was very close on Kepa’s capture just for €18 million last season but transfer was shut down by Athletic.
