I woke up yesterday to the news of Pep Guardiola saying Barcelona, Juventus, and Bayern Munich are the best teams of the last 10 years in Europe.

For many club supporters, this is debatable especially for Real Madrid fans.

This post is going to rank teams based on their cup success in the last 10 years. The leagues where the teams will be selected are the top 4 leagues according to Uefa.

  • Spain – La liga, Copa del rey, Super cup.
  • England – EPL, Fa cup, EFL cup, Community shield.
  • Italy – Serie A, Coppa Italia, Super cup
  • Germany – Bundesliga, Dfb-pokal, Super cup
  • Uefa Champions league
  • Uefa Europa League
  • Uefa Super Cup
  • Club world cup

Each of these cups will be given points that will be used to rank clubs. 2nd placed teams in each of these cups competitions will also get scored by dividing the cup score by 2.

  • UCL win - 20 points
  • UEL win – 15 points
  • Uefa Super cup – 5 points
  • Club world cup – 5 points
  • EPL, La liga, Bundesliga, Serie A – 10 points
  • Fa cup, Copa del rey, Coppa Italia, Dfb-pokal – 5 points
  • Spanish super cup, community shield, Italian super cup, German super cup – 1 point.

You can see that the best 3 teams in the last 10 years are Barcelona, Real Madrid, and Bayern Munich. It is safe to say that Pep Guardiola still harbour rivalry hatred against Real Madrid.
