The 2009 NBA season witnessed a rebirth of a short lived "Dynasty" spawned by an exaggerated melodrama concocted by the powers that may be, running the NBA at the time. When I say melodrama, I'm referring to the whole... "I want to be traded" story that was severely overblown just as much as Lebrons move to Miami, soon after. Don't get me wrong... Kobe was a beast and the Lakers were great but the one player that stands out from that team is the "legendary" Derek Fisher..

In one of the most desperate yet effective plays I've ever seen on a basketball court in my life, D Fish simply decided he was a defensive lineman for a non existent LA football team and knocked the **** out of Luis Scola, with 13 seconds left in the 3rd quarter.

Legendary Game Winner Or Legendary Douche?

Well according to this post by @brandonk, he is... so let's take a look at the very reason why, D.Fish will forever be on my shxx list. Yes, I'm still a bit salty from that incident nearly 10 years ago but when it initially happened, I was unsure if I was watching a football hockey game. Even more confusing that there was no NFL in Los Angeles and for damn sure have no NHL in Houston.

Luis Scola after suffering a bad case of getting "Knocked The *** Out"

"Knocked The **** Out"

I mean, seriously... look at how clueless Luis Scola looks now... he never fully recovered. He currently resides in Indiana working the cash register at some KFC. It's for this reason that I would like to thank Derek Fisher for ruining the future of Luis Scola with the Houston Rockets, one of my favorite players for which I was always shouting out, "GIVE THE BOLA TO SCOLA"  whenever I watched them play.

The Rockets stood no chance against an incredible Lakers team but was that smooth move from a competitive D.Fish really necessary? Any NBA fan would probably question the reasoning behind it but ask any Laker fan and more likely.. they'll claim, he had it coming... he did?

D.Fish has the answer...

At least he fessed up to it.. well, kinda.. but seriously.. THAT WAS DIRTY

Sorry, Not Sorry...

To answer the question @brandonk asked in his post... "Is D. Fish a top 10 shooter of all time?" the answer is an easy "Hell Naw"

Larry Bird, Reggie Miller, Ray Allen, Steph Curry... I can keep going but I'm sure, you get my point... D.Fish was a role player and doesn't even measure up nor come close to Big Shot Bob, Robert Horry...

and to answer the follow up question... "What's your favorite Lakers memory?"

Well this one of course...

your's truly.... a STILL very bitter Rockets fan.

P.S. He looked better in RED
