San Diego, 10-3, will take on the Chiefs, 11-2, in Kansas City tonight on the final Thursday Night Football of the 2018-19 season.

The Chiefs have clinched playoff berth and currently sit atop of their division, in addition to having the most exceptional record in the AFC. With a win tonight, they can attain the AFC West title and a bye in the playoffs.

Meanwhile, the San Diego Chargers have had a tremendous start to the season that has flown under the radar due to the new focal point in Los Angeles, being the Rams. A playoff position would be clinched with a victory, and a loss would keep them in the wildcard race.

During week one of the 17 week season, these two teams collided and San Diego posted 28 points on the scoreboard. 15 year Charger veteran Phillip Rivers had nothing short of an exceptional performance, throwing 3 touchdown's and 424 passing yards.

But, Phillips' stunning offensive performance wasn't enough as their defense allowed the Chiefs to score 38. Mahomes met Tyreek Hill in a 58-yard pass to secure his first career NFL touchdown, and ended the game by adding another 3 TD passes to his stats column.

A bottleneck the Chargers will be confronting tonight is the absence of running back Austin Ekeler, and potential absence of Marvin Gordon as he's questionable.

If the Chargers end up being without Gordon, Justin Jackson and Detrez Newsome will have to show their worth against a 25th overall rush defense.

Yet, a poor run game may not hurt the Chargers as it may force them to pass against a defense whose weakness is their pass defense, ranked 30th overall.

On the defensive end, Joey Bosa will be taking the turf in tonight's game, unlike in week one. This will be impactful as Bosa raises the defensive tempo when on the field and has had a sack in each of the four games he's partook in.

MVP candidate, Patrick Mahomes will look to exhibit another impressive offensive performance. His ability to throw on the run could overpower the Chargers defense as he has thrown an NFL best 11 touchdowns while under pressure.

Mahomes may have to adapt to Kelce being his first option as Hill is listed as questionable. Recently acquired Kelvin Benjamin could also be thrown in the game. Spence Ware is listed as doubtful which will give Kareem Hunt the majority of rush opportunities.

Bookmakers are favoring the Chiefs by 3.5, and the over/under is set at 53.5 points. Could the 12th man in Arrowhead Stadium be the differentiating factor? Will the fate of the game be left in the hands of a kicker? These questions will be answered tonight at 7:20 on FOX and NFLN.
