As the old saying goes "Better late than never", I figured that after being a few weeks active on Scorum, it's about time to reveal the person behind that strange avatar to the wider Scorum community.
My name is Danny Wessels and I first saw the living daylight in a tiny but fantastic (and most of the year cold and rainy) country: The Netherlands. I live in the city of Enschede, which is in the eastern part of The Netherlands and also the home town of my favorite football club: FC Twente.
In daily life, I work as a Marketing manager for a company based in neighboring city Hengelo. I have a wide variety of hobbies, but first and foremost I love to watch Football. As I mentioned before, my first love is my home town team FC Twente, but I also have a weak spot for Ajax Amsterdam and PSV Eindhoven. My favorite international teams are Liverpool, AC Milan and Real Madrid. Besides football I also like to watch (and occasionally play) Darts.
When I'm not watching football I like to pick-up my acoustic guitar (which for the other guitar fanatics is a Seagull Mini Jumbo), and do a bit of jamming. My goal is to reach to level of being capable to play a song of one of my guitar legends: Tommy Emmanuel, but I believe It will take me at least 20 more years to get there :-).

I actually joined Scorum right from the start of the ICO. Back then, I saw it as an investment in something that could potentially grow into something big, and I honestly never had the intention of posting content. That changed a couple of weeks ago, when I was persuaded into given it a try, during a chat session in the Scorum Telegram group, and I must say I really enjoy it!
I don't have the illusion that Scorum is going to make me a wealthy man, there are a lot of talented writers on Scorum that are way better than I will ever become, but that is not the intention. I just like to write about things that I find interesting, and I hope that my visitors enjoy reading the stuff I write.
The great thing I like about Scorum, is that it empowers and encourages people to write about the stuff they love and get rewarded. I sincerely hope that the Scorum community will continue to grow and inspire more people to pick up the pen (In a digital sense :-) and join the Scorum Journey!!

PS: For those of you who want to understand the background of my strange username... The Dutch nickname my friends gave me is 'Wezel', which means 'Weasel' in English. I just added 'Wicked' to it because it sounds cool ;-)
