A large part of Kazipur lives on the other side of the river Jamuna. We call that side of the river Char area. Due to the river being a port, communication between the people of the two banks has improved. Every day from morning till night people on both sides come and go through this river port. There are various boats, launches and steamers for the river bank. By establishing this river port, the long cherished dream of the people of Kazipur of Sirajganj has come true. The port has been officially established at Kazipur. The name of the river port on both sides of the Jamuna is 'Meghai Ghat-Natuarpara river port'. The gazette regarding the establishment of the river port was published on January 7, 2019. By the order of the President, Deputy Secretary Anwarul Islam appointed BIWTA as its custodian under the powers conferred by Act No. 07-Ain / 2019.
