Poker tournaments make each day better. And with tournaments happening each day, Scorum Poker helps many of us get through each week with a smile and a few extra Scorum coins in our wallets.

After sponsoring tournaments on Lucksacks (Steemit Poker League) and contributing to several events on Scorum Poker, I figured it's time to host my own poker series with the help of founder @tuck-fheman. Also, if you're able, I need your help too (see below).

For the next ten weeks, and hopefully longer if I am able to continue to fund the tournament with your support, I will be hosting a small tournament each weekday along with providing a weekly bonus to the top player in that week.

I'd like to introduce you to the Little @Mikey Poker Series.

The Little @Mikey Poker Series

Instead of hosting a single tournament a week, I decided to launch a series of smaller tournaments that run every day throughout the week. The Little @Mikey Poker Series gets its name from my name of course and also because it will be a series of 5 SCR tournaments with a fun twist, partially inspired by the new ALT Poker Series hosted by @goldhunter1.

Each week during the ten weeks will include 5 poker tournaments with a prize pool of 5 SCR. While that may not seem like a giant payout, and it isn't, there will be rewards for the best player that week (explained below).

Tournament Schedule

  • Monday 10:00 AM CST: Turbo No-Limit Hold'em
  • Tuesday 10:00 AM CST: Pot-Limit Hold'em/ Pot-Limit Omaha
  • Wednesday 10:00 AM CST: No-Limit Hold'em (2,000 in starting chips)
  • Thursday 10:00 AM CST: Limit Stud/Limit Hold'em/Limit Omaha
  • Friday 1 PM CST: Turbo No-Limit Hold'em

Tournaments will begin on 1/14, so get ready to compete for prizes each weekday and the weekly Little @Mikey Player of the Week award. Tournaments will start even with only two players, but I hope we can at least attract 8-10 each tournament.

Little @Mikey Player of the Week

The top player in the Little @Mikey Poker Series each week will receive a 25 SCR prize! Points will be earned from each tournament and the player with the most points after each Friday's tournament will win the 25 SCR prize.

  • 1st Place: 10 Points
  • 2nd Place: 6 Points
  • 3rd Place: 4 Points
  • 4th Place: 1 Point

*A bonus of 5 points will be given to each player who plays in all five tournaments in that week.

If there is a tie in points, the two players will face off in a heads-up match on ScorumPoker.com to determine the winner.

Update

Since posting this announcement, we have a big added incentive thanks to one of our community members and a great poker player.

Kryptokeeper:

"...I can see right now that the top 3 are going to be Mikey, Tadas and me (not in that order :), and if goldhunter1 plays, he will be right there too. I will personally pay 25 SCR to anyone else who breaks into the top 3 of any week during the series. That's it. Just make the top 3. Of course, they have to have a scorum account so that I can send it to them. And I will only pay once to each person. I personally don't think I have to worry about paying anything because, well, we are just that good. Prove me wrong."

You heard it! If you break into the top 3 during one of the 10 weeks of the series and are not myself, Tadas, or Goldhunter1, you will win 25 SCR from @kryptokeeper!

I Need Your Help

I am not a graphic designer, and my past attempts at creating logos and banners have not gone very well. I am asking for help to create a logo for the @Little Mikey that will go on the tables during the tournament. If interested in helping, please let me know below!
