Arsenal started their campaign in the new season with a defeat against Manchester City

Colombian goalkeeper David Ospina has left Premier League side Arsenal for a loan move to Italian club Napoli with the club having an option to buy him on permanent basis. Following the arrival of Bernd Leno from Bayer Leverkusen, the 29-year-old David Ospina has fallen down the pecking order at the Emirates stadium.

Arsenal manager Unai Emery even confirmed that new goalkeeper Bernd Leno would have to wait for his chance at the club as Petr Cech remains his number one goalie this season.

Napoli have been searching for a goalkeeper since the new signing Alex Meret broke his arm in training last month and had been linked with a move for Liverpool’s Simon Mignole. The club have however signed David Ospina from Arsenal.

David Ospina joined the Gunners from French club Nice in July 2014 for having impressed for his country at the World Cup in Brazil.

Arsenal manager Unai Emery confirmed that Englishman Danny Welbeck will not leave the Emirates stadium this month despite being linked with a move to Everton.

Welbeck has fallen behind Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Alexandre Lacazette in his preferred center-forward position and has also been linked with a switch to Besiktas. But Unai Emery who replaced Wenger at the Emirates claimed only Jenkinson, David Ospina and Joel Campbell will be allowed to leave in August.
