There are 8 cup matches in Belgium during the midweek and I will be making previews on them today and tomorrow. Many of the Big teams (Club Brugge | Anderlecht | Standard) have already been eliminated which increases the chance of smaller teams taking it more seriously. Final line-ups in this kind of matches can be key and I will be looking out for them.

AA Gent vs Beerschot-Wilrijk

AA Gent are traditionally a strong Cup team and they have it as a top priority along with reaching Play-off 1. So them not fielding a full A-Squad would be a big surprise. Beerschot is a strong team from the 2nd division. They are fighting for promotion and have that as the top priority. The 2nd Division only has 8 teams and some of them would be mid-table teams if they would play in the 1st division. Coach Vreven has some injuries after winning the top match against Mechen (Dom & Vancamp)and will try to find the balance between fielding a competitive team that includes some youngsters. He also said he was going to try some things out to use in the league and it's not the intention to give the match away. As often, the asian handicap line is set quite sharp. My lean would be on the Underdogs who are getting quite the big handicap based on what mid-low table 1st division teams get away against Gent. The fact that Beerschot do not have this match as a priority keeps me away though. No Pre-Game Bets

Kortrijk vs Zulte-Waregem

Kortrijk took 6 on 6 after their coach change, but honestly, I haven't really been that impressed by their actual performance. Zulte-Waregem right now is a normal team again after they broke their big losing streak. I fully expect both teams to take this match serious and I see the visitors as a slightly less underdog than the odds suggest. I took a small initial bet on Zulte-Waregem +0.5 @ 1.82 (not strong enough to take extra in BTC) and will be looking to take more live. There is some potential for this one to turn out in a real wild cup encounter with plenty of goals. I do need some strong confirmation in-game before being willing to back the over though.
